Our Story

Collado Cosmetics was born from the hands of my Dominican mother.

Growing up Dominican-American, some of my most cherished memories are of my mom's nightly ritual - massaging my face before bed, her hands gentle but intentional, teaching me that beauty and rest are deeply connected.

She would rave about the healing power of raw cacao from back home. She'd split open fresh sábila (aloe vera) straight from the plant to soothe our skin. She'd mash avocados into hair masks in our kitchen, the same way her mother taught her in the Dominican Republic.

These weren't beauty trends she read about - this was knowledge carried across an ocean, Dominican wisdom that survived migration, traditions she refused to lose even thousands of miles from the island.

My mom didn't have fancy products. She had her hands, her knowledge, and the plants she knew held power. She taught me that self-care is ritual. That touch is healing. That our ancestors understood something the beauty industry forgot.

Collado Cosmetics honors her - and the generations of Dominican women who knew that nature provides everything we need. Every product is infused with the ingredients she taught me to revere: cacao, aceite de coco, sábila, aguacate. Every formula carries the intention she put into those nighttime face massages when she would pray over me and soothe me to sleep.

This is my mother's wisdom, bottled. Dominican traditions, preserved. Ancestral knowledge, for the next generation.
